Recommended Supplements

Compassionate Cooks recommends a whole foods plant-based diet and urges people to get their nutrients directly from the source: plants. Just as people are trying to find an easy solution for wellness through pharmaceuticals, many are also replacing proper eating with vitamin and mineral supplements. Though supplements may be essential when there is a true deficiency or need, they can be unnecessary or even detrimental when we use them as a substitute for a healthful diet.

I explore this topic at length in my podcast episode on supplements, and I encourage you to listen to it. Based on extensive research and the recommendations of well-respected nutritionists and doctors, I am confident in recommending certain supplements (as well as a healthful diet) as a way to achieve optimum health. I'm thrilled to be partnered with Dr. Joel Fuhrman, as I believe his work is of the highest integrity and his products are of the highest quality.
